CLAT 2014 Reservation and Fee Structure

CLAT 2014 is a national level Law entrance test that is conducted jointly by 14 law schools in India for admissions to 5 year integrated under-graduate and post graduate degree courses of LLB and LLM .Every year lakhs of students take the exam. To take admission into the law programs of NLUs students have to apply for CLAT 2014.CLAT 2014 exam will be held in the month of May 2014. Here are full details of total available seats, Reserved seats and Fee structure of B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. programs.

The intake capacity and Reservation Undergraduate course of B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree programs shall be eighty with the following break-up.

  • General Category — 55
  • Schedule Caste — 12
  • Schedule Tribe — 06
  • Persons with Disability –02
  • Foreign Nationals — 05

Foreign candidates will be admitted directly on the basis of their performance in the qualifying exam, overall academic record and command over English language. Preference will be given to the candidates from SAARC countries and other developing countries. They will have to apply directly to the University in the prescribed format available in the NLS website along with the supporting documents to the Register, NLSIU, Nagarbhavi, Bangalore – 560 072 on or before prescribed date.

Fee Structure for B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree programs:

  • General Category – 1,72,000
  • SC and ST Category – 1,70,200
  • Foreign Nationals – USD 7600

The intake capacity and Reservation of Post Graduate Course LL.M. programs shall be Fifty with the following break-up.

  • General Category – 36 (18 Business Law Branch + 18 Human Rights Law Branch)
  • Schedule Caste – 08 (4Business Law Branch + 4 Human Rights Law Branch)
  • Schedule Tribe – 04 (2Business Law Branch + 2 Human Rights Law Branch)
  • Persons with Disability – 02 (01Business Law Branch + 01 Human Rights Law Branch)
